It was an amazing experience for the participants of the Sustainable Development Bootcamp of LEAD Transformation Initiative as majority of them were delegates at the annual African Youth and Governance Convergence (AYGC) 2020. In Nigeria, change begins with me has been a cliché with no well-designed channel to link to the current realties in our society. Our participants who are youths were however able to connect this dot at the just concluded AYGC. As the transformed youths voiced their opinions into motion for adoption by the African Union (AU) member states on different issues of development on the continent.
Initiated and convened by Youth Bridge Foundation (YBF), the African Youth and Governance Convergence (AYGC) held on the 16th to 18th of September 2020 was a virtual summit unlike the previous years. Since 2009, AYGC has served as an important platform for grooming young people in Africa and beyond the continent in the areas of Leadership, Cascade of mentorship, Community development, Networking and Exchanges.
